Hello, I'm Nicole. An artist certified in ACT Therapy with an educational foundation in Health Science and Counseling from Melbourne, Australia 🇦🇺 I'm based in Tbilisi, Georgia 🇬🇪
I’m passionate about helping others access their subconscious wisdom through imagery.
The language of intuition is primarily visual and emotional. Through the ROC Technique, your subconscious is given a platform to speak—much like how dreams emerge during sleep -with the clarity of being fully awake.
Witnessing art's reflection in my own inner world & individualisation process has formed an intimate, curious awareness of it's symbolic language; how it weaves itself through time & space , dreams and waking life, to communicate what's going on 'beneath'.
What began as a simple game with friends and a personal 'art therapy exercise' has grown into something far more impactful. I’ve witnessed the technique release stuck emotions and bring about real shifts in clients’ lives, often accompanied by meaningful synchronicities tied to their sessions. These powerful outcomes have encouraged me to take this work more seriously and share it with a broader audience.

What is the ROC Technique?
The River of Consciousness (ROC) Technique is a drawing exercise conducted in a 1-on-1 session—either via Google Meet or in person. Via drawing certain symbols, your subconscious is given a platform to speak about a chosen topic—much like how dreams emerge during sleep -with the clarity of being fully awake.
For the session to flow smoothly, your drawing needs to be visible to the guide. This can be done by screen sharing if you’re using an iPad with drawing app, positioning your webcam to show the paper you're drawing on, or holding up your drawing periodically during the session. Whatever feels most comfortable.
The technique helps bring clarity to a specific emotion you bring into the session. For instance, you might explore your feelings about someone in your life or work through emotions like fear or procrastination.
During the session, the guide prompts the client to draw symbols that inspire the client's subconscious to be expressed to the conscious mind through imagery + feelings to be known. What comes up is gently explored, and acknowledged with compassion.
This process is akin to dreaming - The act of drawing becomes a dialogue with the self, where the inner world takes visual form, allowing individuals to work through innate mind/body wisdom.
The technique’s benefits can manifest in various ways—such as heightened synchronicities and a sense of emotional lightness. Over time, commitment to addressing what comes up with compassion in and outside of the session, can lead to a greater sense of well-being.
Drawings should be preserved for future sessions by the client, serving as valuable reference points. Each drawing captures a "snapshot" of your emotional landscape at a given moment, offering insights that, over time, contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of your emotional landscape and its evolution.
Primarily Non-Verbal Communication: The art-making process provides a way for those who find unprompted verbal expression challenging to communicate complex emotions and experiences visually.
Self-Exploration and Insight: The act of creating art encourages reflection on personal experiences and emotions, leading to greater self-awareness and insight into underlying patterns, fears, and desires.
1 x session is 1 hour
Your imagination is the key! All you'll need is a connection to Google Meet, a webcam, a grey lead pencil, 8 sheets of blank paper (A4 preferable) and an eraser. (Welcome to bring coloured materials if you wish).
If you have an Ipad with a drawing app like Procreate, this works perfectly too.
No drawing skill is required at all.
